Three honest choices

Every card asks one thing: Know it, Almost, or Don't know. Cards come in shuffled, and a word leaves your deck only after you mark it Know it three times in a row.

Meanings you uncover

The Turkish meaning starts covered. Scratch it off when you are ready to check yourself, or switch that off in Settings and see it right away.

A picture for that exact sentence

Tap the hint and the word appears inside a real sentence, highlighted, next to an image made for that sentence, not a stock photo picked by topic. Over 5,000 words have their own.

Quizzes you earn

Swiping drops gift packs into your deck. Opening one starts a short quiz: pick the right definition, match a word to a picture, answer a question read aloud.

Misses come back

Words you got wrong are not quietly dropped. They return later as a quiz made only of them, until the gap is closed.

A climb, not a list

Progress is laid out as a mountain route with eight summits, badges for holding a daily streak, and charts that show words moving from Don't know to Know it.

Word lists are drawn from Oxford 3000 and 5000, Longman 3000, and OPAL, the Oxford Phrasal Academic Lexicon. The dictionary is stored on your phone, so cards keep coming when the connection drops.

Is KelimeYAP free?
Yes. KelimeYAP is free to use and shows ads. An ad-free Pro subscription is offered monthly, every three months or yearly, billed by the App Store or Google Play. You don't need to sign up to use it.
How does KelimeYAP help me memorize English words?
Every card asks one thing: Know it, Almost, or Don't know. Cards come in shuffled from your levels, and a word leaves the deck only after you mark it Know it three times in a row (you can change that number); there is no study plan or interval to set. Do I need an account?
No. There is no registration, email, password or social login. When you change phones, a personal transfer code in Settings carries your progress across.
Does it work without internet?
The word deck sits on your phone, so the cards keep coming when the connection drops. Example sentences, images and quizzes need a connection. In the free version the number of cards you can go through offline is limited, and Pro lifts that limit.
